Third quarter projector shipments into the region fell 24 per cent to 38,527 units, against 50,615 units in the same period last year, according to a Decision Tree Consulting report.
BenQ Middle East came first in the list with 6,166 units or 16 per cent of the market share, followed by Epson with 5,393 units or 14 per cent share and Toshiba with 3,552 units or 9.21 market share, the report was quoted in the Gulf News.
The UAE's total shipments for the period stood at 14,058, an increase of 13.12 per cent, compared to 12,427 in the same period last year.
Saudi Arabia followed the UAE with total shipments of 12,752 units in the third quarter of 2008, down 6.85 per cent, compared to 13,689 a year ago.
